Tai Ping is thrilled and honored to announce that the Callidus Guild Collection, in collaboration with Yolande Milan Batteau, has been bestowed with the Livingetc Style Awards 2024 for Best Carpet Collection Design and Best in Class Accessories in London.
The awards were judged by an esteemed panel including Livingetc’s global brand director Sarah Spiteri, executive editor Pip Rich, editor Hugh Metcalf and deputy editor Ellen Finch.
Livingetc Style Awards recognize excellence in interior design across ten esteemed categories. In their feature, Pip Rich, Executive Editor of Livingetc, mentions the Callidus Guild Collection as: "A creative meeting of minds between Tai Ping and Yolande Milan Batteau, there is true artistry in the shimmering weaves of this haute hand-knotted collection, with nods to woodblock printing, Italian lime plaster, and Japanese urushi."
The elegant cocktail reception at The Aubrey, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, was attended by Natasha Laing Bonwick, UK Manager, and Juliana Polastri, Global Design and Brand Director.
Tai Ping is grateful for this recognition and extends heartfelt thanks to Livingetc for honoring this captivating collection and to Yolande Batteau for her creative collaboration.
Best known for original wallcoverings, Callidus Guild is the vision of Yolande Milan Batteau, a trained and exhibited fine artist who brings decades of aesthetic and decorative skills to the studio. These patterns translate the atelier’s expressive wall works into innovative textiles, employing silk, wool, mohair, and linen to render the experience tactile. The result is six dynamic compositional designs and four small-scale patterns in multiple colourways — a total of eighteen new carpets. Discover the collection here and below.
